Homelessness, Addiction and Crime

The mayhem on North American city streets is symptomatic of a deep rot in our societies and alarmingly indicative of what is to come if we don’t act now to fortify the pillars of civilization.

The statistics speak for themselves: the number of drug deaths in the United States rose from 20,000 in the year 2000 to 112,000 in 2023. The responsibility for this failure lies with both Left and Right, both of which have abandoned their confidence in self-governance and accepted the deterioration of our urban centers as the best we can do.

Thankfully, our in-depth investigative work and Michael Shellenberger’s release of ‘San Fransicko: Why Progressives Ruin Cities’ forced a change in the conversation. As did our movement-building with groups like Mothers Against Drug Addiction and Deaths, North America Recovers Coalition, and California Peace Coalition

Though this program is currently dormant, our founder will continue to speak publicly on this issue and we hope to one day hire a program director dedicated to this work – infusing CW values of care to prevail in the intellectual argument and finally end this compounding social issue.
